I tested a solo post-apocalyptic hexcrawl with a mutant ninja wolverine, and it actually worked
March 18th, 2026
In this episode, Vark, a wolverine trained by a ninja master, sets out from his village with a clear mission: track down a Human Empire facility and gather intel before it’s too late. What starts as a simple hex crawl quickly turns tense. Abandoned farmland. Patrols in robotic armor. A toxic wasteland that forces a retreat. And then a quiet river camp that should be empty… but isn’t.
This is a true solo actual play using custom-built HTML tools, including a hex crawl system, journal tracker, and automated procedures. Everything you see unfolds in real time, no scripts, no safety net. Just decisions, dice, and consequences.
By the end, Vark finds himself face to face with something that followed him… and it turns into a brutal, fast fight that sets the tone for what this campaign might become.
System: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness
Style: Solo Actual Play
Character: Vark the Wolverine

If you enjoy solo play, old-school systems, and watching a story build one decision at a time, you’re in the right place.
